Dr. Walter Kottmeyer, Rose Parade Fund
Coordinator. Walt is a retired principal of Downingtown Senior High School
and a 25 year Downingtown Area School District veteran. In 2002
the Downingtown High School football stadium was named in his honor.
And, that same year he was inducted into the Millersville University
Hall of Fame in recognition of his collegiate wrestling accomplishments.

Monte Ross, Men's Basketball Head
Coach, University of Delaware. A 1992 sport management graduate of
NCAA Division II Winston-Salem State where he played for legendary head
coach and Basketball Hall of Fame member Clarence “Big House” Gaines Ross
has been surrounded by championship basketball throughout his coaching
career. Players:

Nick "The Quick" Argonish,
Principal, East Ward Elementary, DASD
Nick is newly appointed
Principal of East Ward Elementary. He was formerly assistant principal
at Lionville Middle School, as well as a special education teacher in
the West Chester Area School District.

Damien "Coach" Blair,
Men's Basketball Head Coach, West Chester University. As Head Coach at
Downingtown West High School Damien lead the team to the Ches-Mont
League boys’ basketball championship, the first title in school
history. After illustrious stints playing for his alma maters Haverford
School and West Chester University, Damien played semi-professional
basketball with the Delaware Blue Bombers.

Nick "Gunner" Busa, Senior Vice President of
Underwriting, 21st Century Insurance. Rich
-- Mr. Busa is 21st
Century’s director of underwriting policy. Nick has more than 25 years
of expertise in the direct insurance industry, and is currently
responsible for underwriting policy. He holds a Bachelor of
Business Administration degree from Temple University.

Dr. Jeff "Dr. J." Davidson, Sr. Dir. of
Biostatistics at Octagon Research, and recent rare cancer survivor.
Jeff has been a Harlem Globetrotter fan since childhood in NW Philly,
where he perfected his talent for spinning the
ball on one finger. Jeff is best known for his highly aerobic and
emotional cheering while watching all major sports.

Matt "Stretch" Denn, Lt. Governor of Delaware.
Lt. Governor Denn attended Yorklyn Elementary and H.B. du Pont Middle School in DE
before his family moved to CA. He returned to DE after graduating
from Yale Law School, and is an advocate in state government for
Delaware's children.

Andy "The Question" Dinniman, Pennsylvania State Senator.
Andy has been recognized as an advocate for communities and families
through three decades in public service. His experience includes serving
on the Downingtown Area School Board. A teacher and community
leader, he has been honored by numerous environmental, education,
veterans’ and service groups.

Amber "The Duke" Duquette, Bradford Heights Elementary,
DASD. Amber is an Autistic Support teacher at Bradford Heights
Elementary School in Downingtown. She has been teaching for 5 years and
loves what she does. She started playing basketball at the age of two
and played year round basketball until the age of 18. She attended
Messiah College where she played field hockey and intramural basketball.

Bob "Lemon Crusher"
Hewitt, Director of Sales Operations & Business Intelligence,
Bentley Systems.
Bob is a former Catholic
League third string CYO all-Bench player, fast to shoot, quicker to
miss. He can go left or right without looking at his feet, and the bank
is always open.
- Bob "dot com" Hornsby, Played the real Roy Hobbs in an American Movie
Classics original TV show Into Character, Bob has also
played 32 years in the Radnor Softball Leagues. A web developer and
graphic artist for the last 15 years. Bob also raises donations for the
American Cancer Society every summer; last year helping to raise $45,000
dollars.
- Nicholas "Zero
Gravity" Indeglio, Principal,
Downingtown Middle School. Former Nittany Lion Mascot and
Professional Wrestler. Mr. Indeglio performed in numerous charity
events, including the “Rumble at the Rock” professional wrestling event
at Council Rock High School back in 2007.
- Dave Johnson, Head Girl's Basketball Coach at Downingtown
High School West, and a member of the
Math Department.

- Kenneth "Hang Time" Lewis, MD, JD, President and CEO of Union Hospital in
Elkton, MD. Ken is also the Chair of the Cecil County Economic
Development Committee.

Jose Ma, M.D.,
Vice President of Medical Affairs at Union Hospital in Elkton, MD.
Board Certified in Family Practice, Jose graduated from Georgetown
University Medical School, and completed his residency at Lancaster
General Hospital.

Montay "Don't call me Mason, no I'm not related to Charles,"
a.k.a "Not Charles" Manson, Sales Consultant, 21st Century Insurance.

Jack Markell, Governor of Delaware. Governor Markell, was
born and raised in Newark, Delaware and graduated from Newark High
School along with his wife, Carla. He went on to receive an
undergraduate degree from Brown University and an MBA from the
University of Chicago. He has been recognized in Delaware and
across the country as a leader in promoting policies to help all people
achieve their economic potential.
- Josh "Slim" Maxwell, Mayor of the Borough of Downingtown, PA, and known as one of
the youngest Mayors in the United States. Josh graduated from Downingtown High School,
and went on to graduate from West Chester University with a degree
in political science. He has a minor in international business and is
pursuing a law degree at Widener University.
- Jim
McGowan III, Chief of Police, Downingtown Police Department.
Jim graduated from Downingtown High School and West Chester University
with a degree in Public Administration and a minor in Criminal Justice.
He is a graduate of the 220th Session of the FBI National Academy.
While at DHS he played several sports, but none of them were basketball.

With Tina, the Downingtown Whippets won
back-to-back Class AAAA District 1 and state titles in 1991 and 1992,
she then went on to lead
the the Lady Lions to the Sweet
16 during her Senior year
at Penn State University, and subsequently played in the WNBA.

Middle School, Christina School
District, Newark, DE. Donald is a
graduate of Delaware State University.
- Karen "The Rebel" Peterson, Senator,
Delaware State Senate, since 2002. Karen serves on the Boards of Saint Elizabeth School and
Benedictine Sisters, and is a member of Stand Up for What's Right and Just
and the Delaware State Senate Veterans Affairs Committee. She is
a graduate of Neumann College, attended the University of Pennsylvania
for Graduate Studies, and earned certifications from both the University
of Delaware and Weidner University.
- Alyson "Swish" Reardon,
Instructional Support, West Bradford Elementary, DASD. Proud
mother of two who has been teaching at West Bradford for 10
years. Alyson received her Bachelor's Degree from Kutztown University
and her Master's Degree from Wilkes University.

Curt "Dr. Jive" Schroder, currently serving his eighth term in the Pennsylvania
House of Representatives. Curt is a member of the Downingtown Lions
Club, and serves on the Board of Directors of Brandywine Hospital and
the Brandywine YMCA. He graduated from Downingtown High School in
1979 and earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from Indiana
University of Pennsylvania in 1983. He subsequently earned his Juris Doctor from Widener University School of Law in 1989.
- Dr. Dan "Dr. S." Shelton, Ed.D.,
Principal of Jennie Smith Elementary School in the Christina School
District. Dan serves as the President of the Delaware Association
of School Principals and is a legislative representative for Delaware at
the National Association of School Principals.

Surprise Teacher from Downingtown Middle School, DASD. That's
right! Word has it that Downingtown Middle School, DASD is
fielding a surprise player on game day, as part of its efforts to excite
its students to purchase tickets to the game, and in turn win the ticket
sales competition!

Cathy "Why-zer" Weisser, 5th Grade Teacher, Brandywine Wallace Elementary
School. A life-long learner who graduated from West
Chester, Temple and Penn State in areas of Elementary, Special Education
and Administration. Presently, She is in her 26th year of teaching in
the DASD. She has worked at various grade levels from K- 6 which
includes her Special Education experiences. She has taught in five of
the ten elementary schools over the years.
